Terry and Lynne Lefoe’s new build in Coimadai runs underfloor heating, cooling and heat recovery ventilation from a Stiebel Eltron geothermal system on four 99 m boreholes, drilled into mudstone in a single week. Measured SCOP: 8.1, the highest of any SóGeo project we have published.

A heritage-listed home near the Kooyong tennis club, extended and fitted with geothermal heating and cooling on five 120 m boreholes drilled by GT Drilling on a tight site. A Stiebel Eltron WPE-I 33 carries the heating and a water-cooled Mitsubishi Electric VRF the cooling, with no outdoor plant to disturb the heritage streetscape. Currently running at a COP of 6.5.

Grant’s Main Ridge home already had hydronic underfloor heating. A 15 kW Stiebel Eltron heat pump drawing on the property’s spring-fed lake replaced the old plant with no drilling, a one-week install and a measured SCOP of 5.1, despite a demanding 50 to 55°C flow temperature.

David and Jenny’s remote property ran on an oil boiler and a propane pool heater. A 70 kW Stiebel Eltron geothermal system on eleven 100 m boreholes now heats the home and the indoor pool with no fossil fuels at all, at a measured SCOP of 7.4.

A luxury new build on the Port Campbell coast with no three phase supply and salt air on every side. Horizontal ground loops, a Stiebel Eltron geothermal plant room beneath the indoor pool, a measured SCOP of 5.2 and a 70% reduction in the home’s power consumption.
